Ayurveda, the traditional medicine of India with over 5,000 years of history, teaches that each person is born with a unique combination of energies that determine their physical, mental, and emotional makeup.These energies —called doshas— are three: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.

Knowing your dosha is like having an internal map that guides you toward balance and wellness.


🔵 Kapha — The Steady Pillar

  • Elements: Earth + Water

  • Physical traits: Strong build, dense bones, soft and well-moisturized skin.

  • Personality: Patient, loyal, calm, and with great physical endurance.

  • When imbalanced: Fluid retention, easy weight gain, feelings of heaviness.

  • Balance tips: Regular exercise, light and spiced meals, variety in daily routine.


🔥 Pitta — The Transforming Fire

  • Elements: Fire + Water

  • Physical traits: Medium build, warm skin, tendency to flush easily.

  • Personality: Determined, competitive, organized, and sharp-minded.

  • When imbalanced: Irritability, heartburn, inflammation.

  • Balance tips: Avoid excessive heat, choose cooling foods, and practice relaxing activities.


🌬️ Vata — The Creative Wind

  • Elements: Air + Ether

  • Physical traits: Slim build, dry skin, prominent joints.

  • Personality: Creative, fast-thinking, enthusiastic, adaptable.

  • When imbalanced: Anxiety, insomnia, irregular digestion.

  • Balance tips: Stable routines, warm nourishing foods, plenty of rest.

The secret of Ayurveda: Most of us aren’t just one type — we have a blend of all three, but usually one is dominant. Knowing your dosha helps you tailor your diet, exercise, and lifestyle to stay in harmony.
